fstmp

Privacy policy

Updated October 13, 2026.

This policy describes how the fstmp operator processes information when providing uploads, temporary sharing and file viewing.

Shared files

We store uploaded content, filename, size, upload and expiry dates and file identifiers. Files are available for 30 days. Anyone with the link can view or download the content, so do not upload confidential documents or third-party data without authorization. Links do not require an account.

We store only your language preference in browser local storage to remember your choice between visits.

Statistics and technical data

When you open a sharing page, we record a session with a random identifier, traffic source (domain only, when provided by the browser), browser, language, time zone, screen resolution and approximate network prefix. We also record page openings, visible page time, playback time, playback starts and completions and download requests. This helps monitor usage, storage capacity and potential abuse. We do not use identifying cookies for these statistics or request GPS.

IPInfo and third parties

The server receives your connection IP and sends it to IPInfo Lite to obtain country, continent, ASN, network operator and network domain. The full IP is temporarily cached in memory for up to 24 hours and is not stored in the statistics database. Location is approximate and does not identify your exact position. IPInfo processes queries according to its own privacy policy. Infrastructure and external services may process data outside your country.

Google advertising

The site uses Google AdSense and loads its Auto ads code on the home page and guides. Sharing pages do not show ads. When Google ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver and measure ads and, where permitted, personalize them. See how Google uses data on partner sites and Google ad preferences. Ad display and personalization depend on AdSense settings and applicable consent requirements.

Reports and privacy requests

The “Report file” link on sharing pages lets you report illegal content, copyright infringement, malware, exposure of personal data or other issues. We record reason, description, file identifier, date and optional contact. To prevent abuse, we store a temporary cryptographic digest of the source network, not the full IP in the report. Do not include passwords, documents or unnecessary personal data.

You can also select “Privacy / personal data” to request clarification, access, correction or deletion of information related to a file. Include contact details if you want a reply. Reports are visible only to the operator in the private dashboard; submitting one does not automatically remove the file.

Retention and access

Files and their statistics are deleted from active storage after expiry: downloads are blocked immediately and physical cleanup runs every minute. Reports are kept for up to 90 days for review and abuse handling, even if the file expires. Backups may retain information after deletion from active storage until the operator removes them. The statistics dashboard is not public; only the operator can access statistics, including per-file figures, and reports.

Security and changes

We use HTTPS, upload limits, executable type restrictions and random links. This does not guarantee that all uploaded content is safe. This policy will be updated when data collection or service features change.
